The government has appointed Md Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan as the Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division.
The appointment was announced through a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday.
The notification said the order had been issued in the public interest and would take effect immediately.
Bhuiyan had been serving as the acting secretary of the ICT Division since Monday, following the transfer of former ICT Secretary Kazi Anwar Hossain.
The latest appointment confirms his role as the full-fledged secretary of the division.
