The 4th Made-in-Pakistan Exhibition opened at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka on Wednesday, showcasing products from more than 100 Pakistani exhibitors.
Organised by the Pakistan Association of Exhibition Industry, the four-day exhibition features a wide range of products, including textiles, food and beverages, cosmetics, herbal and wellness products, handicrafts and fashion accessories.
The exhibition will remain open to visitors daily from 11:00am to 10:00pm until September 26.
Vice Chairman and Chief Executive of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) of Bangladesh Mohammad Hasan Arif and Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider jointly inaugurated the exhibition.
Representatives from different trade sectors, journalists, a large number of visitors and members of the Pakistani community attended the inauguration ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, High Commissioner Imran Haider said bilateral trade and economic relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh were growing steadily.
He highlighted recent developments, including the opening of several Pakistani fashion outlets in Bangladesh, increased trade in essential commodities and completion of the technical process to facilitate the export of pineapples from Bangladesh to Pakistan.
Haider said the business communities of both countries could share policy proposals with the High Commission and the EPB to address trade barriers and build long-term business-to-business partnerships.
EPB Vice Chairman Mohammad Hasan Arif congratulated the organisers on holding the exhibition and expressed his desire to increase exchanges of business delegations and exhibitors to strengthen connections between the two countries’ business communities.
He said Bangladeshi exhibitors would participate in upcoming exhibitions in Pakistan and assured EPB facilitation in organising joint seminars and conferences.
Arif also invited Pakistani delegates to participate in the upcoming Global Sourcing Expo and Dhaka International Trade Fair 2027 in Bangladesh.
He urged business communities in both countries to explore joint ventures and business opportunities based on complementarity.
Both the EPB vice chairman and the high commissioner appreciated the organisers for arranging the exhibition.
