Biman Bangladesh Airlines has extended the suspension of all Dhaka-Riyadh and Dhaka-Dammam flights until October 18 amid attacks on airports in Saudi Arabia.
The decision was announced in a press release signed by the airline’s general manager for public relations on Thursday.
According to the notice, the airline will provide updates on the suspended flights and revised schedules in due course.
Passengers with urgent travel needs can use Jeddah and Madinah international airports to travel to Saudi Arabia or return to Bangladesh, the airline said.
To accommodate increased passenger demand, Biman has replaced Boeing 787 aircraft with larger Boeing 777 aircraft on the Madinah route, adding 148 seats per flight. It has also arranged three additional flights on the Jeddah route.
Passengers seeking ticketing or travel-related information have been advised to contact their nearest Biman Bangladesh Airlines sales centre.
