The Chinese Embassy in Dhaka has announced special visa facilitation measures for Bangladeshi visitors planning to attend the 140th China Import and Export Fair, widely known as the Canton Fair.

The exhibition will be held in three phases in Guangzhou, China, from October 15 to November 4, 2026, bringing together businesses, manufacturers, technology companies and buyers from around the world.

According to the embassy, applicants seeking a Canton Fair visa will only need to submit the official invitation letter issued by the organizers of the 140th Canton Fair. The invitation letter will serve as the sole mandatory document for the visa application.

To facilitate faster processing, applicants are encouraged to upload supporting documents during the online application process, including previous Chinese visas, travel records and institutional guarantee letters where applicable.

Required documents, such as a passport valid for at least six months, photographs, an invitation letter, and a bank statement, must be submitted to the Chinese Visa Application Service Center (Dhaka). Fees and processing times are determined by the visa type, as detailed in “China Visa for Bangladeshi – Complete Details – VISAThing.”

The embassy warned that applications containing incomplete, inaccurate or misleading information may be returned, potentially causing delays, additional expenses and disruptions to travel plans. Applicants have therefore been advised to complete online forms carefully and accurately.

The embassy also emphasized that forged or altered invitation letters, false information or fake supporting documents could lead to visa rejection and may negatively affect future visa applications.

For businesses involved in technology, electronics, industrial machinery, smart manufacturing, renewable energy and digital products, the Canton Fair remains one of the world’s most important platforms for sourcing products, exploring innovations and building international partnerships.

The Chinese Embassy advised applicants not to delegate the responsibility of completing visa applications to third parties or agencies. It also clarified that no agency or individual has been authorized to provide visa services on behalf of the embassy.

Visa category, validity period, duration of stay and number of entries will be determined in accordance with relevant regulations and each applicant’s individual circumstances.

The embassy further urged applicants to remain cautious of fraudulent claims such as “guaranteed visa,” “no visa, no fee,” “special connections,” or “exclusive channels.”

Reaffirming its commitment to lawful, transparent and efficient visa services, the embassy stated that no locally hired employee can influence visa approvals or guarantee visa issuance for personal gain. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against any proven misconduct.
