Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight BG-306, operating on the Rome-Dhaka route, has departed Rome and is heading for Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, with an expected arrival around 12:25pm on Sunday (August 9).
The flight had been delayed following a technical problem that left passengers stranded at Rome’s Fiumicino Airport.
Biman had earlier sent an engineering team and spare parts from Dhaka to repair the aircraft.
According to flight-tracking data, BG-306 departed Rome at about 11:45pm local time on Saturday and was estimated to reach Dhaka at around 12:25pm Bangladesh time.
The flight originally forms part of Biman’s Toronto-Rome-Dhaka service.
Passengers had reported prolonged delays and difficult conditions at Rome airport after the aircraft developed the technical fault.
