A female passenger died after falling ill aboard a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Jeddah to Chattogram on Wednesday, prompting the aircraft to make an emergency landing in Muscat, Oman.
The flight, BG-136, departed Jeddah for Chattogram. While airborne, passenger Sanowara Begum became seriously ill, following which the flight was diverted to Muscat.
After the aircraft made an emergency landing at Muscat International Airport, the passenger was taken to a local hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, August 26.
