DHAKA: Rain or thundershowers may occur in parts of three divisions of Bangladesh today under the influence of a low-pressure system, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
Some areas of Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions may experience rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds. Elsewhere, the weather is likely to remain mainly dry, with partly cloudy skies.
The information was provided in the weather forecast issued for the period until 6pm on Friday (October 16).
The Meteorological Department said an extension of the low-pressure system extends to the North Bay of Bengal.
Day and night temperatures across the country are likely to remain nearly unchanged during the period.
In Dhaka, winds may blow from the west or northwest at speeds of 8–12 kilometres per hour. Relative humidity in the capital was recorded at 56 per cent at 6pm on Thursday.
Sunset in Dhaka will be at 5:32pm on Friday, while sunrise on Saturday will be at 5:57am.
