Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud has held a series of phone conversations with his counterparts from Qatar, Kuwait and the United Kingdom, focusing on escalating regional tensions and efforts to regional stability.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Prince Faisal spoke separately with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
The discussions centred on recent developments and ways to strengthen coordinated efforts to safeguard regional security.
During the calls, the ministers strongly condemned attacks carried out by Iran and its allied groups in Yemen and Iraq, targeting Saudi Arabia and other countries in the region.
In a separate conversation, UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband also denounced the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia. In his first call since assuming office, Miliband expressed solidarity with the Kingdom and reaffirmed the UK’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, SPA reported.
