China has announced a fresh round of retaliatory measures against the United States, further escalating tensions in the ongoing trade dispute between the world’s two largest economies.
The move comes in response to recent US restrictions targeting Chinese technology firms and exports.
Beijing imposed sanctions on several American companies, tightened export controls on drones and related technologies bound for the US, and launched new investigations into certain American products and services.
Chinese authorities said the measures were aimed at safeguarding the country’s national security and commercial interests.
China also urged Washington to withdraw what it described as discriminatory restrictions and warned against further actions that could damage bilateral economic ties.
Analysts say both sides continue to exchange targeted trade and technology measures, raising concerns over renewed friction despite ongoing diplomatic engagement.
