Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said Iran is ready to return to diplomatic talks if the United States recognizes that “pressure does not produce results.”
In a post on X, Araghchi said, “Returning to diplomacy is not impossible. But for that, the United States must build trust, speak respectfully, recognize our rights, and honor its commitments.”
He suggested that changes in Washington’s behavior and policies are essential to improving relations with Tehran and creating an environment conducive to negotiations.
Meanwhile, Araghchi said he held “constructive and creative” talks with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
However, the Iranian foreign minister did not provide details about the issues discussed during the meeting.
Analysts say Iran’s remarks indicate that, despite ongoing regional tensions, Tehran remains interested in maintaining diplomatic contacts and keeping the door open to negotiations.
