The government has transferred and posted 27 deputy secretary-level officers of the Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) cadre to various districts as deputy directors of local government.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Sunday. Deputy Secretary Md Golam Rabbani of the Ministry’s deputation-2 branch signed the notification.
Under the order, the services of the officials will remain attached to the Local Government Division. They have been instructed to join their new workplaces by September 3.
The notification said officials failing to join their new posts by the deadline will be deemed to have been immediately released, or “stand released”, from their current workplaces that afternoon.
The transferred officials and their new postings are:
Tamim Al Yameen, deputy director of the Anti-Corruption Commission, has been posted to Narsingdi.
Md Saiful Islam, additional deputy commissioner of Cumilla, has been posted to Tangail.
Md Abdul Kader, additional deputy commissioner of Magura, has been posted to Jhenaidah.
Jhoton Chandra, executive officer of Munshiganj District Council, has been posted to Satkhira.
Nazrul Islam, assistant project director of Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project (Line-1), has been posted to Rajshahi.
Jadab Sarkar, additional deputy commissioner of Gaibandha, has been posted to Joypurhat.
Pushpendu Deb, deputy director of the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division, has been posted to Pabna.
Mahmuda Sultana, deputy secretary attached to the Planning Commission, has been posted to Sylhet.
Sonia Sultana, charge officer at the Zonal Settlement Office in Sylhet under the Department of Land Records and Surveys, has been posted to Habiganj.
Md Nakib Hasan Tarafdar, additional deputy commissioner of Chapainawabganj, has been posted to Barishal.
Dipayan Das Shuvo, special officer of the Marine Safety Division of the Department of Shipping, has been posted to Bhola.
Shashwati Shil, additional deputy commissioner of Magura, has been posted to Pirojpur.
Pranay Chakma, regional executive officer of Chattogram City Corporation, has been posted to Chattogram.
Debashish Chowdhury, deputy director of the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division, has been posted to Chandpur.
S M Manzurul Haque, additional deputy commissioner of Bandarban Hill District, has been posted to Bandarban.
Sadia Afrin Kochi, appraising officer of Chattogram Port Authority, has been posted to Khagrachhari Hill District.
Mohammad Ruhul Amin, additional deputy commissioner of Rangamati Hill District, has been posted to Rangamati.
Nuruddin Muhammad Shibli Noman, executive officer of Rangamati Hill District Council, has been posted to Feni.
Md Arifur Rahman, deputy director of the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology, has been posted to Lakshmipur.
Md Safi Ullah, deputy secretary attached to the Financial Institutions Division, has been posted to Rangpur.
Afroza Khatun, additional deputy commissioner of Lalmonirhat, has been posted to Lalmonirhat.

Sumi Akter, additional deputy commissioner of Jamalpur, has been posted to Jamalpur.
The Ministry of Public Administration said the order, issued in the public interest, would take immediate effect.
Copies of the notification have been sent to the Cabinet Secretary, senior secretaries and secretaries of the relevant ministries and divisions, divisional commissioners, deputy commissioners and district magistrates concerned, and other relevant offices.
The ministry also instructed that the notification be published in the Bangladesh Gazette and on its official website.
