Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited epic ‘Ramayana: Part 1’, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, is scheduled to hit cinemas during Diwali 2026.
The film, one of the most anticipated Indian productions, is being mounted on a large scale and is expected to present the Hindu epic through a visually ambitious cinematic adaptation.
Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi portrays Sita. Yash is set to appear as Ravana, adding to the film’s high-profile cast.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the project is planned as a two-part film series. The first instalment will focus on the early chapters of the Ramayana, with the second part expected to continue the story.
The makers have reportedly invested heavily in production design, visual effects and technology to create the world of the epic on an international scale.
‘Ramayana: Part 1’ is being produced by Namit Malhotra, with the project also involving international technicians for its visual-effects work.
The Diwali 2026 release is expected to make the film one of the major theatrical attractions of the year.
