The government has increased the monthly risk allowance for Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) employees from Grade 10 to Grade 20, with the revised rates coming into effect on January 1, 2028.
The Finance Division issued a notification on September 2, which was published in the Bangladesh Gazette on September 17.
The new rates, determined by employees’ grades and length of service, are higher than those set under the previous order issued in 2018.
Under the revised structure, Grade 10 employees will receive Tk 3,240 to Tk 6,480 per month, depending on their length of service, while Grade 20 employees will receive Tk 1,440 to Tk 3,120.
The notification also sets service-based rates for Grades 14 to 18. The monthly allowances range from Tk 2,160 to Tk 4,560 for Grade 14, Tk 2,040 to Tk 4,080 for Grade 15, Tk 1,920 to Tk 3,840 for Grade 16, Tk 1,800 to Tk 3,600 for Grade 17, and Tk 1,680 to Tk 3,360 for Grade 18.
The allowance is calculated under five service brackets: up to five years, more than five to 10 years, more than 10 to 15 years, more than 15 to 20 years, and more than 20 years.
The revised rates will remain inoperative until December 31, 2027. Until then, ACC employees will continue receiving allowances under the 2018 order.
The notification also said ACC employees on deputation who receive the revised risk allowance will not be entitled, where applicable, to risk, special or defence services allowances prescribed for their respective forces.
