DHAKA: The government has transferred 22 senior Bangladesh Police officials as part of a series of new postings and appointments, according to notifications issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday (September 22).
The orders were issued by the Police-1 branch of the Public Security Division and signed by Deputy Secretary Tawsif Ahmed.
Among the transfers, Mohammad Enamul Haque, Additional Police Commissioner (supernumerary) in Sylhet, has been appointed Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the APBN and Specialized Training Centre in Khagrachhari.
Paritosh Ghosh, DIG of the APBN and Specialized Training Centre in Khagrachhari, has been transferred to the APBN office for the hill districts as DIG.
Habibur Rahman Khan, DIG of the Highway Police in Dhaka, has been transferred to the post of Commandant (DIG) of the TDS in Dhaka.
Mohammad Anisur Rahman, Additional DIG of the Special Branch in Dhaka, has been posted as Additional DIG at the office of the DIG of Khulna Range.
Md Gias Uddin Ahmed, an Additional DIG serving as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been attached to the office of the DIG of Rangpur Range as Additional DIG.
Police Superintendent Mohammad Jasim Uddin, also serving as an OSD at the Home Ministry, has been attached to the office of the DIG of Rajshahi Range as Superintendent of Police.
The notifications also detail the transfers and postings of several other senior police officials.
The orders will take effect immediately, according to the notifications.
