10 ASPs transferred to different locations

Ten officers holding the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) have been transferred to different locations across the country. The transfers were announced in a notification issued by the Police Headquarters on Tuesday.

According to the notification, Additional Superintendent of Police of the Special Branch (SB) Md Tofayel Hossain Sarker has been transferred to Brahmanbaria, Mehedi Hasan to Satkhira, Md Robiul Islam to Gopalganj, and Mahin Farazi to the Gournadi Circle in Barishal.

Meanwhile, ASP Md Asaduzzaman of the Kaliganj Circle in Gazipur has been transferred to the Katiadi Circle in Kishoreganj. ASP Md Tofazzal Hossain of the Katiadi Circle has been transferred to the Industrial Police. ASP Tanzina Chowdhury of Police Headquarters has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

ASP S M Arif Raiyan of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been transferred to the Patiya Circle in Chattogram. ASP Sheikh Muttazul Islam of Gaibandha B Circle has been transferred to the Kaliganj Circle in Gazipur, while ASP Abu Saleh Md Ansar Uddin of the Gournadi Circle in Barishal has been transferred to the Barishal Metropolitan Police.

The notification said the transferred and newly posted officers must hand over charge at their current workplaces by September 19. Otherwise, they will be considered immediately relieved from their duties, or “stand released,” effective September 20.
