Bangladesh condemns Houthi attack on Riyadh Airport

Bangladesh on Sunday strongly condemned a deadly Houthi attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh that killed 12 people, including two Bangladeshi nationals, and injured more than 300 others.

In a statement on October 11, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attack as unacceptable, stressing that attacks endangering civilian lives and targeting civilian infrastructure must cease immediately.

The Bangladesh mission in Riyadh is in contact with Saudi authorities to verify details of the Bangladeshi casualties and facilitate necessary assistance to those affected.

Bangladesh also expressed its deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families, including those of the Bangladeshi victims, and wished all the injured a swift and full recovery.

The country reiterated its firm solidarity with the government and people of Saudi Arabia following the attack.
