All jewellery shops across Bangladesh will remain closed on Monday, October 19, on the occasion of Maha Ashtami during the Sharadiya Durga Puja celebrations.
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) announced the decision in a notice signed by its president, Enamul Haque Khan.
The association has requested jewellery shop owners and traders across the country to keep their establishments completely closed for the day and sought their cooperation in implementing the decision.
