A new low-pressure system may form over the Bay of Bengal around October 23, potentially bringing rainfall across Bangladesh later in the coming days, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

The system is likely to develop over the south-eastern Bay of Bengal and adjoining east-central areas before potentially intensifying.

According to the department’s five-day weather forecast issued on Wednesday, October 21, the weather across the country is expected to remain mostly dry in the coming days, with partly cloudy skies in some areas. Daytime temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged, while nighttime temperatures may rise slightly.

However, rainfall is possible across the country towards the end of the five-day forecast period as the weather system develops.

The development of the low-pressure system could bring changes to the prevailing weather conditions, although its eventual strength and impact remain uncertain.
