Interested graduates must apply through the university’s convocation website. The application process will be completed in four steps, with the first stage closing at 11:59pm on November 30. The deadline for online payment is 11:59pm on December 2.

The convocation is scheduled to be held at 11am on January 26, 2027. According to the press release, President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will preside over the ceremony, while Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has agreed to attend as the guest of honour.

Professor Atsushi Sunami, president of Japan’s Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF), will deliver the convocation address and receive an honorary Doctor of Laws degree.

Professor Dr Muhammad Harunur Rashid, a major donor to one of the university’s trust funds, will receive an honorary Doctor of Science degree. The decisions were made at a syndicate meeting following recommendations from the Academic Council.

Graduates and medal recipients who earned degrees based on examination results published between November 20, 2022, and November 30, 2026, will be eligible to participate.

Results published between October 14 and November 18, 2022, that could not be included in the 53rd convocation will also be considered, allowing the relevant graduates to attend this ceremony.
