US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent Christensen met with National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener and Leader of the Opposition’s Chief Whip Nahid Islam on Wednesday.
The meeting was held at the NCP’s central office in Banglamotor, Dhaka.
Among those present were NCP spokesperson Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, Joint Convener and National Women’s Power Convener Monira Sharmin, along with other party leaders. Officials from the US Embassy also attended the meeting.
In a Facebook post after the meeting, Nahid Islam said the two sides discussed various aspects of Bangladesh-US bilateral relations and exchanged views on ways to further strengthen mutual cooperation.
“Today, we had a productive meeting with US Ambassador Brent Christensen at the NCP office. We discussed key issues concerning bilateral relations and explored ways to deepen our mutual cooperation,” Nahid wrote.
