A passenger aircraft crashed in southern Peru on Saturday, killing all 13 people on board, authorities confirmed.
The Aerodiana-operated aircraft, carrying 11 passengers and two pilots, was on a sightseeing flight over the world-famous Nazca Lines after taking off from Pisco Airport.
It reportedly lost contact with air traffic control minutes after departure before crashing in the Pueblo Viejo area near Nazca.
Emergency responders reached the crash site and confirmed there were no survivors.
The cause of the crash remains unknown, and Peruvian authorities have launched an investigation.
The Nazca Lines, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, attract thousands of tourists each year, many of whom take scenic flights to view the ancient desert geoglyphs from the air.
Flights over the area had reportedly been affected by poor weather conditions and strong winds a day before the crash.
