Five female students were injured after being electrocuted while playing on the roof of a madrasa in Fatullah, Narayanganj, on Saturday evening.
The incident occurred around 6pm at Maleha Mohila Madrasa in Kashipur Hajipara area under Fatullah police station, according to local reports.
The injured students were identified as Jidni, 14, Lamia, 13, Sumaiya, 13, Asia, 12, and Atia, 11.
They were taken to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka, where they are undergoing treatment.
Dr Sultan Mahmud Shikdar, a resident physician at the institute, confirmed that the five students were receiving treatment.
