Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan have discussed ways to further strengthen the friendly and mutually beneficial relations between Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates.
The meeting was held at the UAE Mission in New York on Friday (September 25), on the sidelines of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s visit to attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
The two leaders discussed various aspects of bilateral relations, including cooperation, trade and investment, economic partnership, manpower, and regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The prime minister emphasised the need to further expand and enhance the effectiveness of the existing bilateral relationship.
They also discussed opportunities to increase economic and trade cooperation between Bangladesh and the UAE.
Both sides expressed interest in further strengthening future cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
