Iran has launched missile and drone attacks targeting US military facilities in Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait and Bahrain, in retaliation for recent US strikes on Iranian targets, escalating tensions across the Middle East.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it had carried out heavy attacks on American military positions, including bases in Jordan.
US officials, however, disputed Iranian claims of American casualties. Jordan and Bahrain said their air-defence systems intercepted Iranian missiles and drones.
The latest exchange marks a significant escalation in the conflict and has raised fears that fighting could spread further across the region, threatening regional security and global energy supplies.
