Tarique Rahman mourns Nepal flood deaths

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has expressed deep shock and sorrow over the loss of lives caused by devastating floods in Nepal.

In a condolence message on Wednesday, the Prime Minister conveyed, on behalf of the people and Government of Bangladesh, his deepest condolences to Nepalese Prime Minister Balendra Shah and the people of Nepal.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have lost their lives, and with their families and loved ones as they bear this immense loss,” he said.

Tarique Rahman also said Bangladesh stands ready to extend any support Nepal may need during the crisis.

The devastating floods have caused loss of lives and widespread distress in Nepal, prompting expressions of solidarity from Bangladesh.
