121 foreign nationals rescued after Nepal floods

At least 121 foreign nationals have been rescued following devastating floods in Nepal, the country’s Tourism Board said. Nearly 490 people have so far died in the disaster.

Among those rescued are 85 Indian, 16 Chinese and nine South Korean nationals. The nationalities of three others have yet to be confirmed.

Earlier, Nepalese authorities said more than 500 tourists were missing, including 178 Indians, 65 Americans, 53 Ukrainians, 51 Malaysians, 33 Australians and 33 Britons.

The Nepal Tourism Board said all possible efforts are underway to rescue injured, stranded and affected people and move them to safe locations.
