Alimul Amin appointed new DIP DG

Major General Md Alimul Amin has been appointed the new director general of the Department of Immigration and Passports (DIP).

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Monday (September 21) appointing him to the post on deputation, with his service placed under the Security Services Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Meanwhile, the department’s incumbent director general, Major General Md Nurul Anwar, has been recalled to the Bangladesh Army, with his service placed under the Armed Forces Division.

The order, issued in the public interest, takes immediate effect, according to the notification.
