The government will keep fuel prices unchanged in August, following a similar decision taken over the past two months.
The Power and Energy Division informed the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) chairman of the decision through a letter on Thursday.
According to an official notification, diesel, kerosene, octane, and petrol will continue to be sold at the existing rates next month.
Since June, diesel has been sold at Tk 115 per litre, octane at Tk 145, petrol at Tk 140, and kerosene at Tk 135 at the retail level.
