Govt announces 3-pt plan to address energy crisis

The government has announced a three-point strategy to tackle the country’s energy challenges, aiming to ensure uninterrupted fuel supplies, promote efficient energy use, and strengthen long-term energy security.

The plan includes securing adequate imports of fuel and liquefied natural gas (LNG) to maintain stable supplies, implementing energy-saving measures to curb unnecessary consumption, and accelerating the development of renewable and alternative energy sources.

Officials said the strategy is intended to reduce the country’s vulnerability to global energy market volatility while ensuring a reliable supply of electricity and fuel for households, industries, and businesses.
