Priyanka Chopra has announced her next Hollywood film, Bluefly, a science-fiction action thriller in which she will star alongside Oscar winner Russell Crowe.
Chopra shared the news on Instagram on Thursday, posting a behind-the-scenes photo with the caption, “On to the next.” The announcement quickly drew reactions from fans and fellow celebrities, including her husband Nick Jonas.
Directed by Nimród Antal, Bluefly is set in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and follows a grieving UN translator who becomes involved in a secret military mission to recover a mysterious aircraft.
The mission takes a dangerous turn as the team discovers hidden agendas surrounding the aircraft. The film is expected to combine action, science fiction and psychological suspense.
The screenplay was written by David Frigerio, William Eubank and Carlyle Eubank. Michael Jefferson, David Frigerio, Deborah Glover, Arianne Fraser, Delphine Perrier and Vanessa Yao Guo are among the producers.
Chopra is also set to return to Indian cinema with SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi, starring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film is scheduled for release in April 2027.
