Former Dhallywood queen Shabnur has paid a heartfelt tribute to late popular actor Salman Shah on the 30th anniversary of his death.
On Sunday (September 6), Shabnur posted several photos with Salman Shah on her verified Facebook page, along with an emotional message.
“I still can’t believe you’re gone, Salman,” she wrote.
Shabnur said that despite the passage of so many years, memories of Salman Shah remain etched in her heart. She described him as the beloved “prince” of the silver screen and a dream hero who continues to live on through people’s memories and love.
She said Salman Shah’s untimely death created a huge void in the country’s film industry that has yet to be filled. Although generations have changed over the years, his popularity and the magic of his acting remain alive in people’s hearts.
Paying tribute to her former co-star, Shabnur wrote, “On your 30th death anniversary, I offer my deepest respect and endless love. Wherever you are, stay well, dear Salman Shah. May Allah grant you a place in Jannah.”
Salman Shah died on September 6, 1996, at the age of 24. His sudden death shocked the entire country, and his popularity has remained undiminished even three decades later.
During his four-year film career, Salman Shah acted in 27 films and established a distinctive place in Bangla cinema. He won widespread acclaim through a string of popular films, including Keyamat Theke Keyamat, Tomake Chai, Shopner Thikana, Antore Antore, Denmohor, Priyojon and Anondo Osru.
Three decades after his death, Salman Shah remains equally popular among younger generations. His distinctive style, headband, sunglasses, motorcycle, thick black hair and charming smile continue to make him an enduring icon of Bangladeshi cinema.
