Ajay Devgn-starrer Drishyam 3: The Conclusion is building strong momentum ahead of its October 2 theatrical release, with advance bookings pointing towards one of the actor’s biggest openings at the Indian box office.

The film has already sold around 55,000 tickets across the three major national chains — PVR INOX and Cinepolis — as of Monday afternoon, according to trade reports. The figure puts Drishyam 3 on course for a major advance-booking performance, with several days still remaining before release.

Trade tracking currently places the film’s opening-day potential in the Rs 50 crore to Rs 60 crore range. Some estimates put the likely opening around Rs 55 crore, although the final figure will depend on the pace of bookings and audience response after release.

The film is also recording healthy advances outside the national chains, suggesting that the franchise has retained its appeal across different markets. Overseas bookings are reportedly strong as well, with trade observers expecting the film to post Ajay Devgn’s biggest international opening to date.

If it opens around Rs 50 crore or higher, Drishyam 3 would move beyond Singham Again, which opened at around Rs 43.7 crore, to become Devgn’s biggest opening day.

The film is expected to benefit from the October 2 national holiday, giving it an extended opening weekend. The strong franchise value of Drishyam, combined with the success of Drishyam 2, has helped generate considerable anticipation for the third instalment.

Drishyam 2, released in 2022, became a major box-office success and established the Hindi franchise as one of Devgn’s strongest recent theatrical properties.

Trade analysts say the next major test will be the film’s content and audience word of mouth. If Drishyam 3 receives strong reviews from audiences, its holiday opening could provide a substantial foundation for a strong theatrical run.

With advance sales accelerating and several days still left before release, the film is now being closely watched to see whether it can cross the Rs 50 crore mark on its opening day.
