Legendary singer Runa Laila will perform a special solo concert at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in Dhaka on Friday evening, with all proceeds going to support flood-affected people.
Organisers said the entire ticket revenue will be donated to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund to assist victims of the recent floods, making the event both a cultural celebration and a humanitarian initiative.
The concert, to be held at the National Theatre Hall, marks Runa Laila’s first-ever solo performance at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy during her illustrious 62-year professional music career.
She is expected to perform 10 of her most beloved and timeless songs, while the academy will also honour her for her outstanding contribution to music.
Having recently returned to Bangladesh after spending more than a month in the United States for family commitments, Runa Laila said she looks forward to sharing an unforgettable evening with audiences while supporting a meaningful cause.
