A court here today placed four people on different terms of remand in a case filed over the explosion of cocktails in front of Jatrabari Police Station on September 18.
Of the four accused, Raihan Uddin was placed on a four-day remand, while Russel Khan, Alauddin and Abdullah were placed on two-day remand each in the case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Kamal Uddin passed the order after hearing a police plea seeking their remand.
The four were arrested on September 19 and sent to jail the following day.
According to the case documents, at around 8pm on September 18, unidentified miscreants exploded four cocktails in front of the main road of Jatrabari Police Station, allegedly with the aim of creating anarchy and panic and disrupting normal public activities.
Pedestrian Ibadur Rahman was seriously injured in the incident.
A case was filed with Jatrabari Police Station under the Explosive Substances Act in connection with the incident.
