Diamond World Managing Director Dilip Kumar Agarwala has been shown arrested in a corruption case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Shahjahan Kabir passed the order on Monday (November 2).
On October 25, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Assistant Director Sajjad Hossain, the investigation officer in the case, filed an application seeking to show Agarwala arrested.
Agarwala was produced before the court during the hearing, following which the court ordered that he be shown arrested and sent to jail.

On October 19, the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested him from the capital’s Banani area. The following day, a court placed him on a one-day remand in a case involving gold and diamond smuggling and money laundering.
On October 21, he was also shown arrested in an attempted murder case filed over an attack on A. Jabbar and placed on remand for six days in two phases.
He has remained in jail since the end of the remand.
Agarwala was previously arrested by the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on September 3, 2024, following a raid on Diamond World’s office in Gulshan.
