Journalists will hold a rally in front of the National Press Club at 11:00am on Thursday, demanding the immediate formation of the 10th Wage Board for media workers, an interim dearness allowance and implementation of the 9th Wage Board award, including arrears, at institutions where it has not yet been enforced.
The rally has been organised jointly by the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) and the Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ).
Journalist leaders, along with leaders of various professional organisations, are expected to speak at the rally.
BFUJ Secretary General Kader Gani Chowdhury and DUJ General Secretary Khurshid Alam have urged media workers to join the rally on time.
