Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has described his recent meeting with US President Donald Trump as “one of the best” he has ever had, underscoring the strength of the US-Israel alliance.
Speaking to Fox News, Netanyahu dismissed suggestions of any strain in bilateral relations, saying critics looking for divisions would instead find “a wall of granite.” He stressed that cooperation between the two countries remains solid and aligned on key strategic issues.
A major focus of the talks was Iran’s nuclear programme. Netanyahu warned against allowing Tehran to acquire nuclear weapons, saying it would pose a threat not only to Israel but also to global peace and American security.
“We don’t want to see this regime in Tehran with nuclear weapons,” he said, adding that the shared objective of the US and Israel would be achieved “either through diplomatic means or other means.”
Netanyahu also noted his frequent engagements with the US administration, pointing out that he has visited the White House eight times since Trump took office—more than any other foreign leader—highlighting the close diplomatic relationship between the two allies.
