Two deputy inspector generals (DIGs) of Bangladesh Police have been appointed as directors of the National Security Intelligence (NSI) on deputation.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Sunday announcing their transfer and deputation appointments.
The two officers are Aminul Islam, DIG of the Rangpur Range, and Dr Mohammad Abdul Kader, DIG of the Police Special Branch (SB).
According to the notification, Aminul Islam has been appointed as an NSI director on deputation and attached to the Prime Minister’s Office.
Similarly, Dr Mohammad Abdul Kader has been appointed as an NSI director on deputation and attached to the Prime Minister’s Office.
The order, issued in the public interest, will take effect immediately.
