Southeast University (SEU) held a discussion session and Doa Mahfil on Sunday, August 30, 2026, to observe Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) 2026.
The programme was held at 3pm at the university’s Multipurpose Hall, with SEU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Yusef Mahbubul Islam in the chair. Eminent Islamic scholar, author and researcher Dr Muhammad Saifullah Madani attended as the keynote speaker.
In his keynote address, Dr Madani discussed the noble life, character and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), stressing the importance of following the Sunnah in everyday life.
He urged students to embrace moral education and draw inspiration from the Prophet’s (PBUH) ideals to become honest, responsible and exemplary citizens.
Professor Dr Abdul Kader Muhammad Masum, convener of the Event Implementation Committee and dean of the School of Engineering, delivered the opening remarks, while Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr M Mofazzal Hossain delivered a special address.
Deans of various faculties, heads of departments, faculty members, administrative officers, staff and a large number of students attended the programme.
The event concluded with a special Doa and Munajat seeking divine blessings, peace and prosperity for the country, its people and Southeast University.
