Four parliamentary standing committees reconstituted

Four parliamentary standing committees have been reconstituted following a proposal by Chief Whip Md Nurul Islam, which was approved by voice vote in Parliament on Sunday (August 30).

The committees are related to the ministries of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs; Industries; Commerce; and Foreign Affairs.

Under the reshuffle, Jamaat MP Kamal Hossain replaced Syed Zainul Abedin on the Commerce Committee. On the Industries Committee, BNP MP Abdus Salam Azad and Jamaat MP Enamul Haque replaced Md Abdullah and Al Faruk Abdul Latif, respectively.

Tasmia Pradhan replaced Al Faruk Abdul Latif on the Law Ministry Committee, while Jamaat MP Mir Ahmad Bin Quasem replaced NCP’s Atikur Rahman Mozahid on the Foreign Affairs Committee.
