The Jatiya Sangsad has formed 10 more parliamentary standing committees related to different ministries.
However, none of the committees has been assigned a chairperson from the opposition benches.
The committees were formed amid a dispute between the government and opposition over the distribution of committee chairmanships.
The opposition had earlier demanded a share of the chairmanships, arguing that parliamentary practice calls for greater representation in oversight bodies.
The latest development means that ruling-party lawmakers will lead all 10 newly formed committees, raising concerns among opposition members about the balance of parliamentary oversight.
