Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Sunday inaugurated a tree-planting programme to green and beautify both sides of the Dhaka-Aricha Highway by planting a sapling in Aminbazar.
He launched the initiative during a visit to the area on Sunday afternoon (October 18).
The programme aims to enhance the highway’s appearance while helping maintain environmental balance and mitigate the adverse effects of climate change.
During the visit, the prime minister instructed the relevant authorities to ensure greenery along the highway and proper care of the newly planted trees.
