The total income of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami declined in 2025 compared to the previous year, while its expenditure on political activities increased during the same period.
The party submitted its 2025 income and expenditure report to the Election Commission (EC) on Thursday (July 30).
According to the report submitted by Jamaat Assistant Secretary General Ehsanul Mahbub Jubaer to EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed, the party earned a total of Tk 236.82 million in 2025 and spent Tk 239.18 million.
The figures show that Jamaat’s expenditure exceeded its income by Tk 2.36 million.
The party currently has Tk 75.11 million in cash and Tk 79.83 million in bank deposits, according to the report.
A comparison with the previous year shows that Jamaat’s income stood at Tk 289.70 million in 2024, while its expenditure was Tk 237.34 million.
Although the party’s income dropped significantly in 2025, its overall expenditure increased slightly compared to the previous year.
