Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Wednesday inaugurated the July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum, established to preserve the memory of the 2024 July-August mass uprising and pass its history on to future generations.

The inauguration ceremony began at around 9:00am at the former Ganabhaban, which has been transformed into the memorial museum. Following the unveiling, the prime minister toured the museum and its exhibits.

The museum has been created to commemorate the July Mass Uprising and honour those who lost their lives during the movement.

The opening day has been reserved exclusively for the families of the martyrs and invited guests.

The museum will open to the general public from August 6 through an online ticketing system.

Entry fees have been set at Tk50 for adults and Tk25 for children, according to the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.
