Dhruv Rathee detained before joining Delhi protests

Popular YouTuber Dhruv Rathee was detained by Delhi Police from his residence in Sector 56 of Gurugram on Saturday (October 10), before he could join a protest called by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) in Delhi, according to a News18 report.

Rathee, who lives with his family at the residence, was reportedly planning to travel to Delhi to participate in the CJP-organised protest. Police detained him before the demonstration began.

According to News18, a team of Delhi Police entered his residence at around 7:48am on Saturday. Rathee’s mother opened the door at the time.

The report further stated that around 50 police personnel had gathered outside his residence late Thursday night. He was subsequently detained from his home in Central Park Vihar, Sector 56, Gurugram.
