Jamaat calls emergency press conference

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has called an emergency press conference on recent developments in the country.

The press conference is scheduled to be held at 12 noon on Tuesday (October 20) at the party’s central office.

According to an invitation sent to the media by Jamaat’s central media cell, the party’s central leaders will speak at the press conference.

The invitation requested media outlets to send one reporter and one photojournalist to cover the event.

The invitation was signed by Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, assistant secretary-general of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and secretary of its central publicity and media department.

The party has not specified the issues to be discussed at the press conference in the invitation, according to Kalbela.
