The final rankings for the 2026 Ballon d’Or have been announced, with Bayern Munich and England striker Harry Kane winning the prestigious men’s award.
Kane finished first in the voting, followed by Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe in second place and Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal in third.
Barcelona midfielder Rodri finished fourth, while Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi secured fifth place.
The top 10 also included Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in sixth, defending champion Ousmane Dembele in seventh, Erling Haaland in eighth, Michael Olise in ninth and Fabian Ruiz in 10th.
The rankings were determined by votes from journalists representing the top 100 countries in the FIFA rankings, based on players’ individual performances, team achievements and conduct.
Kane’s triumph marks a major milestone for English football, as he becomes the first English player to win the men’s Ballon d’Or since Michael Owen in 2001.
