The Bangladesh Association of Contact Center & Outsourcing (BACCO) has announced the election schedule for its Executive Committee for the 2026-28 tenure, with voting scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2026.
The election will be held in accordance with the Trade Organization Act 2022 and the Trade Organization Rules 2025.
According to the Election Board, 12 positions will be contested, including president, senior vice-president, vice-president, general secretary, joint general secretary, finance secretary, five general directors and one associate director.
The deadline for submitting applications for inclusion in the voter list and clearing membership dues, payable up to December 31, 2026, is August 31. The preliminary voter list will be published on September 9, while the final list will be displayed on September 16-17 following hearings on objections.
Nomination papers can be collected and submitted from September 17 to 23. Following scrutiny and resolution of appeals, the final list of candidates will be published on October 8.
Voting will be held from 10am to 4pm on October 31, followed by vote counting and announcement of the results.
BACCO earlier formed a three-member Election Board headed by Saiful Islam Siddique, managing director of ICC Teleservices Ltd. The other members are SM Monjurul Islam, CEO of Techpoint BPO, and Md Habibul Haq, director of Next Online Ltd.
A three-member Election Appeal Board was also formed, headed by Monirul Islam, chairman of Velocita Infosys Ltd. Its other members are Emrazina Islam, founder of Emrazina Technologies, and Faisal Ahmed, managing partner of Fire & Safety Management.
Election Board Chairman Saiful Islam Siddique said all necessary preparations had been completed to ensure a fair and transparent election.
He said a strict code of conduct would be enforced during the campaign, including a ban on rallies, digital banners and coloured posters.
He called on all BACCO members and candidates to extend their cooperation to ensure a smooth election process.
