Google is offering students one year of free access to Google AI Pro, allowing eligible users to access advanced Gemini features along with 400GB of cloud storage and other benefits.
The offer has been launched globally as part of Google’s “Back to School” programme. Under the scheme, eligible students can use various premium Gemini features free of charge for one year, with usage limits doubled compared with regular access. They will also receive 400GB of free cloud storage.
Google has also introduced several new features aimed at making Gemini more useful for students. Through the Student Hub, students can upload class notes, syllabi and other study materials. Gemini can analyse these materials to create personalised study notes, bite-sized lessons and quizzes.
The AI assistant can also help students track their academic progress. Other features include interactive visualisations, 3D simulations and data tables to make complex subjects easier to understand, particularly science and mathematics.
Gemini Live will also include a Deep Research feature, enabling students to conduct more detailed research and analyse information on various topics.
Students must verify their eligibility to claim the offer. The deadline to sign up is December 31, 2026. Eligible students can verify their status and claim the benefits before the deadline.
