Iranian state media has released images and footage claiming to show damage on Qeshm Island following recent US missile strikes.
According to the state broadcaster IRIB, search and rescue operations are underway in the Chah Tangu area, where a residential building was reportedly hit.
Visuals from the scene show significant structural damage, with more than a dozen rescue workers and local residents combing through debris in search of survivors. Independent analysis indicates the footage had not previously appeared online.
The province’s Director General of Crisis Management told IRIB that two children have been rescued from the rubble and taken to medical facilities. Rescue efforts are ongoing as teams continue searching for three other missing family members believed to be trapped.
Earlier, the US military said it had targeted “dozens” of sites linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as part of its latest strikes.
